The mission of the College of Sciences and Mathematics Advising and Career Center is:

  • To help students successfully make the transition into college life.
  • To assist students in making responsible decisions consistent with interests, goals, abilities, and degree requirements.
  • Toguide/monitor academic progress of all Science and Math students.

General Information:
  • In the College of Sciences and  Mathematics, students must be advised each semester.
  • All students must be TSI complete to enroll in Science major courses and complete all developmental work.
  • All students in the College of Sciences and Mathematics, in consultation with the dean and the chair of a department, select a faculty adviser.
  • The program for each semester, the major and minor programs, and all other requirements for the baccalaureate degree are worked out by the student in consultation with the adviser.
  • Participation in this counseling program is a requirement for all students registered in this college and provides each with the opportunity to secure qualified advice regarding academic problems and programs.
