Dr. Bill Roberts

Dr. Roberts received his B.S. Degree from the University of Texas at Austin and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from The George Washington University. Dr. Roberts came to SFA in 1985, and served as Chairman of the Department of Geology until 1990. In 1996, Dr. Roberts once again was appointed as Chair. Before coming to SFA, he taught for 14 years at James Madison University in Virginia. His hobbies include piano and golf. Dr. Roberts teaches Introductory Geology, Oceanography, Optical Mineralogy, Sedimentary Petrography (graduate level) and Sedimentology (graduate level)
