You can earn one or more hours of college credit by taking SFA's introductory geology field trips.
It's easy to sign up. Just go online and add the field trips to your schedule for next semester. There is no sitting in a dull classroom when you are on one of these trips. You will see things first-hand as we travel through the country-side. You will learn about rivers, rocks, folds, faults, volcanoes, dinosaurs, and more. You will also learn practical information about geologic hazards, and why the Earth is so vulnerable to environmental damage.
You can sign up for more than one field trip. Our field trips are open to freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. There are no prerequisites, and the courses count towards your upper level general electives.
