Objectives of the Department
The graduate program in geology has been designed to provide advanced studies leading to the Master of Science degree: (1) Master of Science in geology; (2) Master of Science in Natural Science (MSNS) with a concentration in geology; (3) MSNS with a concentration in earth science or in life-earth middle school (grades 6-8 and 7-8) science. Individual programs are arranged to meet the needs of the students and prepare them for further graduate work, teaching careers, and private industry.
