Admission Process
NURSING ADMISSION PROCESS Application dates are: Fall (December 20 January 25) Spring (July 15 – August 25) Sixty students may be admitted each fall and spring semester based on completion of prerequisites and attainment of admission criteria. Admission is competitive based upon the applicant’s overall GPA (2.5 or above) and science GPA (2.75 or above), as well as the completion of the Nurse Entrance Test (NET). The number of students admitted may vary due to Board of Nursing (BON) requirements of student-to-instructor ratios. To be considered for admission review, the student must be admitted to the University. The completed application packet must consist of the following: 1) Completed application to the School of Nursing (SON). 2) Complete copies of transcripts from all previous colleges showing credits earned. 3) Copies of accepted OR denied petitions or any petitions being submitted. 4) Copy of NET Test scores. 5) Completion and attachment of Student Admission Checklist, which includes a written list of all prerequisite courses in which the student is currently enrolled.
